Change of Pace

We've spent lots of time in Japan here on LookCloser these last several months after our epic vacation journey there to visit our VF daughter and her Marine hubby. Paused a bit for Thanksgiving. Then we took a look at some of our backyard poinsettias in full bloom, a year after last year's post-Christmas planting. And for the last few days recently, we've visited a "galaxy" of starfish. Now we're going to go back into our yard and see some other things in bloom or being fruitful. Like today's red hibiscus, showing off for the camera.

Amazing shot, Glenn, and isn't it wonderful to look outside in December and see this beauty? Especially when so many are struggling with horrible winter storms.
