So you're in Japan, maybe Kyoto, and your sweet tooth starts aching. Well, you cross over from the hotel, to the train station mall's food court, and make your way to this particular bakery. And there, you'll find on display a whole array of sweet relief for whatever ails you. Can you believe it?

NO! Could you purchase a tiny slice of something or did you have to buy the whole dessert? Thankfully, this is so overwhelming that I think I would just take a photo. <grin>

@Judy aka L@dybug: Fact is, this array went past the limits of my particular lens in both directions. And inside there were even more things to see and purchase. In this case, I satisfied my urge by taking this photo and a few others, then stepping back from the bakery.

Yes, I can. Everything on display is a work of art. The attention to detail in Japan and the quality of the product makes those high prices seem reasonable. Here, we seem to be addicted to low prices regardless of shoddy quality.

@Steve Rice: Quality???? Workmanship???? Detail???? ;)))) BTW, congrats to Tokyo for being the next Olympic host city.
