Ok, here's a quirky entry for foodie week in Japan. We're told a Mexican custom is to pickle a poor little worm in a bottle of tequila.
Well in Okinawa, they take that one up a few notches, pickling poisonous habu snakes in some kind of liquor. And they really drink that stuff!!
I'd never make up something like this... truth is stranger than fiction, and a picture is worth a thousand words. Right, Eric? ;))
