Tokyo contrast

Posted by

Back on the ground, traditional Japanese architecture is graceful, beautiful, elegant. For example, this gateway arch, leading from inside the quietly powerful and historic environs of the Imperial Gardens, back out to a modern Tokyo of glass, steel, skyscrapers and plenty of auto traffic.

Two different worlds, coexisting side by side.

A wonderful shot of the old amidst the new, but the old roof wins the prize! ;D
