In Glorious Bloom

Posted by

It's Sunday, Y'all!

And our back yard passion vine is in flower! That may not sound remarkable to you, but it amazes me, because it seemed to have quit blooming sometime in late spring last year and I figured it wasn't happy where I'd planted it and would never bloom there again. In fact, I was actually thinking about uprooting the poor thing and putting an end to it. But now it's blooming again!

My mind goes back to a statement on grace, a parable Jesus told that appears in one of the gospels (Luke 13:8):

"The gardener answered, 'Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I'll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer.'"

Grace, indeed. Glad I didn't uproot it.

Soli Deo Gloria!
