This is a step back from yesterday's close-in shot of these shiny glass bowls. They are destined to become part of the table decorations for our daughter's upcoming wedding reception. And so, repeating...

“When hope is not pinned wriggling onto a shiny image or expectation, it sometimes floats forth and opens.” ~Anne Lamott

Fun experiment with image capture! So delightful to capture all the dancing lights on the spherical glasses, symbol of infinity I might add. And the contrast of texture in the cloth underneath makes a nice balance. Sometimes the most interesting and appealing pictures are just right in front of our noses.

@Joyce: Thanks Joyce. You're right; if we're just looking we'll find a world of interesting shots just under our noses. But also - at a photo workshop I attended once, the instructor told us that as we're focused on whatever thing we're taking pics of, sometimes the best shot is right behind us. So don't forget, he said, to turn around every now and then to see what's there. Never thought of that before, but since then I've found he's right.

I never would have guessed what yesterday's image was ... glad for the step back ... and hopefully you'll share what a finished one looks like when the time comes. September?

@Judy aka L@dybug: 9/8/12 is the date. Tampa is the place. Coming fast. He returns from Afghan deployment around 7/25. She can't wait!

Comparing the two I do like yesterdays a tad more.
