A guy, watching the Gulf's raging water, in the grip of the storm.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

He'll be glad to know that the remnants of Debby will shortly be dumping its remaining rain on the UK.

@Curly: Well I hope she's dumped most of her rain over the ocean before arriving on your shores, because she definitely dumped a ton of rain on us here in Florida.

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

He seems to be somewhat awe struck at the impact of the storm! Nicely captured Glenn! ;-)

@Eric Cousineau: It was stunning to look out from where he was to see the Gulf raging and the sandy beaches mostly gone.

@tyan: Actually, I was looking up a little - he was standing on a boardwalk crossing a dune that was a bit higher than the spot where I was standing.

Deep in thought and his observations ... great capture, Glenn, though I'm not 'into' tattoos. ;D

@Judy aka L@dybug: Tattoos are one of those "now" things that your and my generation didn't totally embrace when we were at a younger stage. Probably if I were a young guy today, I'd at least consider the possibilities. But I really don't "get" these full arm, full leg, full body tattoos some people have painted on their bodies. I am sure there will be a day down the road a few years when he looks down at these faded blotches and blobs of color on his body and rues the day he did this. But I could be wrong, and I salute those who have tattoos as braver souls than I.

Nice moment, great title!

@MissT: Thanks!

Nice moment of reflection. All the green suggests a calm that doesn't perhaps exist at that moment.
But then, nature does not get impressed with herself. :-)

What a cool photo. This powerful bald and tatooed man sits among the soft blurry foliage, and contemplates another power. He seems to sorta clash with his surroundings. Very nicely captured, compelling and well, humble.
