It's Sunday, Y'all!
And today is the Sunday many in the Church world remember as the Day of Pentecost.
What's that, you say?
One way to describe it is this: "Pentecost is a Christian holy day commemorating the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament of the Bible."
Another way is found in Acts 2 of the New Testament: When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Still another reminder is what's printed on the back of this guy's shirt. Don't know what it says but I see the tongues of fire.
Happy Pentecost, Y'all!
Soli Deo Gloria!
