Apollo Beach is a pretty nice little town and a bedroom community for metro Tampa/St. Pete. Unfortunately, these steaming smoke stacks at a local power plant are a glaring feature of daily life in Apollo Beach. No matter how much you pay for your home, no matter where it is in this community, these towering
stacks and their always billowing steam clouds are very visible.

Upside is that real estate here is slightly less expensive, as compared with real estate prices in the area. But remember, I didn't say "cheap." Think about it - how'd you like to look out from your front door or swimming pool deck and get a daily gander at these?

@Eric Cousineau: Yes, for ourselves and our many Florida tourists.

I wasn't familiar with Apollo Beach, but Google's map showed me where, relative to Sun City Center. Pretty isolated areas, really, with man-made amenities, I presume. Your image shows me something I would rather NOT look at on a daily basis. ;D
