Can't you see another way?

Hello, my name is VF and I am a soft-drinkaholic. I am trying to quit, but it is very, very difficult. Cola drinks and other forms of carbonated beverages are a constant part of our lives. Certainly a constant part of mine for as long as I remember me.

Looking through a window inside the Coca Cola Museum in Atlanta, you see little else but the ubiquitous logo. But did you know...

"The United States ranks first among countries in soft drink consumption. The per-capita consumption of soft drinks is in excess of 150 quarts per year, or about three quarts per week." (and)

"Watch out for cola soft drinks, which are very high in bone-dissolving phosphorus." (and)

"Soft drinks also contain large quantities of phosphorus, which when excreted pulls calcium out of the bones. Heavy users of soft drinks will have osteoporosis along with their damaged arteries."

Brrrrrr... enough to give you chills when you think about how totally well-marketed these not totally healthy beverages have become in our society.

Hi, my name is Behrooz and I was a soft-drinkaholic. I've been clean for a few years now. I only take a shot in very special occasions.
You should totally quit. Try water, or non-alcoholic beer at least. ;-)

ha ha . . sure is a room with a view . . I have consumed oceans of that stuff in its various forms over the decades without identified ill-effects but, one day last year, I stopped. No reason, just stopped and never touched it since.

That sign and window frame make an excellent graphic. While living in Japan, I became fond of cold green tea sold the way pop is here in two liter and smaller bottles. Nothing added, just tea. Great stuff!

Good luck with kicking that habit!
I am luckily only an occasional soda drinker...but when I crave one it's always an ice cold coke!

Good luck with trying to give up soft drinks. I stopped drinking them in 2004 but I was never really a huge soda pop drinker, coffee is my weakness. I do know some people who are physically addicted to Mountain Dew. If you must have a soda pop try your favorite juice with a little club soda or my favorite in the summer green tea with soda. It's refreshing without the added refined sugar.

Well said, Glenn. We are so addicted to the colas, sodas, etc.
