Last Cathedral Beside the Abyss

Posted by
Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 25 October 2009 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

It's Sunday, Y'all!

And we're revisiting our old friend "Fang" which was posted here (in color) a week or two ago. This is another view of the same rock formation which God made and the elements have carved. It kind of looks like the spire of an ancient cathedral, perhaps a last one, standing guard beside the abyss of chaos (which the swirling Pacific currents may suggest).

Soli Deo Gloria!

great composition, on first glance i thought that this was a tall rock against a gray cloudy sky, then when i looked at it again, i saw that it was water. this photo really made me "look closer" :)

It really looks like a church steeple to me. Love the name Fang. I guess it is all the viewer's perspective, fang or steeple. Either way it is a magnificient creation.

I love the title, that is one jagged spire.

Surely an amazing place. A dark rock in front of the wild sea. Well done!

Amazing rock formation, I like it just as much as the first post.
It feels a bit eery to me with the swirling ocean and looking down at that pointed rock.
