Cookie Crumbles

Posted by
Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 16 September 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Looking down from a high spot along the Bodega Bay hwy, these rocks along the Pacific coast have the look of chocolate chip cookie crumbs in the water. Well they do if you have a pretty much outside the box imagination... really.

I totally agree with you, they do look like chocolate chips. ;>) This is truly a beautiful picture.

You must've been hungry when you took this shot (LOL)...Just kidding!! It's a beautiful photo, I truly like the misty atmosphere....I love the soft colors.....

@Markela: Am trying to stay off most sweets on a daily basis, but the delicious memories cry out for relief sometimes. Especially those memories of chocolate chips... heh.

brilliant tones, lovely place!

I guess this is why you shouldn't be posting to Am3 while you are hungry......everything looks like food.....

I love the textures in this - water, sand, rocks, mist....great atmosphere......

16 Sep 2009 11:06am

@Chris: But are you upset that you can't see my crooked horizon? LOL...

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

OUtstanding, mist ocean, I love every pixels ....

I like the series of incoming waves, colors and textures that you have captured. I love your caption's title, although I was thinking more along the line of S'mores with the white marshmallows. :-)

16 Sep 2009 1:46pm

@Steven: S'mores work too. LOL.

Gorgeous! I love the depths of various blues in the water and the white wash. Water rolling into the rocks is a vision I've held close as a passion to visit again.
Now that you've enticed me with chocolate well, I may make the journey sooner than later.
Both are my weakness. (The ocean and chocolate, although not necessarily in that order)

16 Sep 2009 3:26pm

@Barbara: Weaknesses or passions? Choc and ocean are worthy ones, and shared.

Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United States

This is wonderful, Glenn. I love the 'cookie crumble' title and can see it in your image.
As to the "cooked horizon," because of the fog, it's not evident! :D

16 Sep 2009 11:22pm

@Judy: Haha, that's it exactly. You can't see if it's straight or crooked because of the fog. Chris and I have this running joke about my sometimes crooked horizons and his compulsive need to straighten them.

Bernadette from Eden and Arcadia, United States

Love this shot. Your photo captures the "feeling" of the place. Makes me want to be there.

Thanks all, it was a busy day for me and I didn't get to visit around as much today as I'd hoped. Your visits here and comments, as always, are gifts and blessings. Much appreciation and friendship from me, to each one.

Great shot! I like the waves and the water color is fantastic - it looks very cold with the fog too!

the fog adds some great atmosphere - I agree with Scott that the colors are spot on too
