Abstracterpillar

Posted by

What is this shadow? Is it some kind of alien bug life-form creeping up on an innocent earthling? What could its purpose be? Malevolent? Benign? Does it want to infest the earth? Or just find a warm spot in the sun?

No. It's only the shadow of a big spring on the handle of a very rusty outdoor barbeque pit at a park at Longboat Key. With just a tiny bit of hi-contrast shadow tweaking...

It takes sometime to understand the shot. At first, I thought it a tin monster with open mouth and big long teeth.

At this size this one will take a little more than bug spray.
It does have the appearance of a centipede or any of the "pede" family.
Cool abstract, great eye and creative thought. Well done, Glenn.

You could have continued with this great story line :) Abstract it certainly is, I would never have guessed.

Creative photo - it scared me at first because I was afraid I was looking at the shadow of a centipede! Nice work!
