Place of Olive Trees

Posted by

It's Sunday, y'all! And today is the First Sunday in Lent.
Here is a gnarled old olive tree growing in Israel. These things can be ancient and yet productive.

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (from The BIBLE)

Soli Deo Gloria!

The old olive trees in the Garden of Gethsemane totally overwhelmed me, and this is a beautiful specimen, Glenn.
They can be very, very old., and every part of the tree is utilized, the oil, the olive, the wood, and the pits can used for fuel.
Thank you for this Sunday blessing!

Great capture my friend.. I shot monochrome film back in the day and love telling a visual story with it. Just a simple subtle change in tonal range in this capture would not have had such impact, wonderful job pal.

Thanks again for all the kind words lately regarding my dogs, I truly appreciate it and it helps me greatly. The next several weeks will be hard for me as the date of my boys departing this earth grows near and kind words such as yours will be one of the tools I will use to cope.
