Fay, izzat you?

Posted by
Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 20 August 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Disclaimer: I pre-posted what follows. As it turns out the summer thunderstorm on the screen you're looking at was far more dramatic than whatever Fay brought to Bradenton. We got virtually not a drop of rain and only some very nice northerly breezes. Everything Fay has seems to be hitting the Atlantic side...

As I post this shot taken about a week earlier, the unanswered question of whether a tropical storm or hurricane named Fay might hit us here remains an unknown. By today we'll all know what the answer was. So in honor of all who may be in Fay's path, here's a bit of stormy weather, taken at the beach here in Bradenton not so long ago.

A fabulous b&w VF, and beautifully presented, those clouds certainly look menacing!

Seems Fay brushed by you? This shot in B&W is just beautiful! Love the light on the water in the distance. Hugs to Bella!

That's an ominous sky, but not how our coast looked yesterday. *smile*
While we need the rain, we won't miss the possible destruction. We're keeping those it Fay's path in our prayers ... along with your dear Bella, of course!

Beautiful storm cloud shot! We are currently getting some light rain, Fay's disorganized eye is very close, but thankfully, she's lost her umph.

Beautiful. Well last I saw it looked like Fay was just sort of hanging around. Hopefully she will go away and leave you guys alone. They said she could become a hurricane again. Sheesh! what a pest she is being!
