A Week at the Beach 4

Posted by
Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 24 January 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Ok men, you're at the beach. The girls are all laying out there in the hot sand, and they're going to be out there, motionless, for hours. But ya gotta eat, right? So whatchagonna do? Bingo... go fishing.

Which leads to yet another fun part of going to a beach town (even if you don't have a boat): Finding and discovering all the cool, out of the way places to wet your line. BTW, at the beach there is no dress code... it's great sport to people-watch.

Hands up ladies - who has a "thing" for those pale, white legs?

Stunner from Kingston, Jamaica

LOL! Cool capture! I guess he is comfortable.

24 Jan 2008 6:30am

@Stunner: I hope so, because he sure isn't wearing designer sports gear.

Craiger from Vacaville, California, United States

LOL! In my experience fishermen are not the best dressers! :0)

24 Jan 2008 7:25am

@Craiger: I think those short cutoffs really make the outfit...

Mandy from South Africa

hahahaqh@!!!! I loved your commentary on this guys attire VF - My first thought upon opening the shot was - oh my goodness what on earth is he wearing??? hahahaha. Fabulous capture of a very serious fisherman! :) He must be serious as he is in no way concerned about looking "cool" for the babes! hahaha

24 Jan 2008 9:14am

@Mandy: Lol. And there were no "babes" anywhere close to where he was standing that day.

Steven from Montreal, Canada

It's a good thing he's fishing and not trying to find true love with that outfit and those skinny white legs, ouch

24 Jan 2008 9:49am

@Steven: True, but ask amy...

Chris from South Jersey, United States

I kind of thought he was wearing the proper dress code for the beach - I wear similar (but don't quite fill it out the same way....) when I am at the beach. Great funny shot - he sure is taking his fishing seriously (which he should, of course).

24 Jan 2008 11:26am

@Chris: Mackeral were running that day; don't know if he caught any. But he's now famous, at least in the Am3 world...

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada

He's got great legs, and the entire compo is so sublimely 'not frigging cold'..It's wonderful, gosh it's wonderful

24 Jan 2008 1:43pm

@Lorraine: Don't worry gal, a nice warm, maybe even hot summer's coming.

Rebecca from Leicester, United Kingdom

Hi there, VF. LOL, this one really takes the cake!! :O) VERY VERY nice. :) And all your images this past week of glorious summer at your site, the epitome of truly welcome refreshment. I love it. I’m so sorry, the part of my brain that usually will say more is not cooperating very well these days. I have tried to explain more in my (over-lengthy!) post today. May I also say thank you so much for your very kind words at my blog the other day. I truly appreciate it. God bless you and yours always, sir. You are a blessing.

24 Jan 2008 5:55pm

@Rebecca: Thank you sweet Rebecca. You're the best!

Wolfgang Prigge from Canada

I am more interested to know what he caught than discuss his legs, I'll leave that to the ladies...

24 Jan 2008 6:35pm

@Wolfgang Prigge: Ha-Ha!

Rabbit from Richmond, United States

oh now that is one SEXY man. Great shot looks like something i would see while at the beach.

24 Jan 2008 8:04pm

@Rabbit: So you're a wild Rabbit? <grins>

Forouz from Germany

I like his shirt if no blame be on me as lady to wear it. I can feel more free with it. Wolfgang left the legs for us, NO, not at all, there is something like a lamp on inside them. I prefer to look at his face instead of the legs. I like you and your inside wicked child. WOW I feel at the beach... Hooouff...

24 Jan 2008 10:13pm

@Forouz: The wicked child inside me likes you too, and says, "Hi! And thanks!"

amy from Rocky Mountain House, Canada

It's that "muscle shirt" that does it for me... or is it that dew rag on his head?? Hmmmm..... NOT! Too funny VF!! Love the whole kit n' kaboodle!! A sunny funny delight for this very grey and cold day (just -10C today... almost tropical, eh?)

24 Jan 2008 10:17pm

@amy: I knew it amy, and had you in mind when I posted this guy! Haha. Kidding. I don't know if he ever caught any fish... or lovely ladies.

Jen from Alpharetta, United States

Great summer shot...I like Rob's take on it too LOL
He's quite the GQ kind of guy huh?

24 Jan 2008 11:41pm

@Jen: A real clothes horse, he is. But the guy is having fun and there's something to be said for that, I think.

MaryB from Staffordshire, United Kingdom

A great fun shot VF, it made me smile, he looks like someone I know LOL :D

25 Jan 2008 12:49am

@MaryB: Glad you're smiling... here's one backatcha!
