His own world

Again, San Francisco's treasure is its people. All kinds of people. We noticed a fairly active street population, which seemed mostly content and glad to wander around and occasionally politely ask passers-by for change. I don't know how the local population feels about its street people, but my wife and I found them to be part of SF's overall charm.

This one man seemed to be in his own world, repeatedly counting something on his fingers, engaged in a lively conversation with himself alone.
