Ok, so I was bored and took this shot of my big toe as the beach afternoon wore on. It was hot.

Sand in your toes, now that's the Florida life! Glad you are enjoying it. Your boredom made for a great shot. Funny, I just came across a slightly similar image but a woman's foot, you may see it as an image today on AM3.
I imagine there is no difference in degrees there. It's hot!

Funny picture. Can certainly tell that it is a man's foot. Oh to be bored on the beach ;>). Sounds like you made a good choice in a new point 'n shoot. We will be looking for some pictures from it.

@Marion: A few might show up next week. I'm liking it for quickie shots; the more serious photo work will still happen with my Nikon D80.

the sand is nice,so white! The sand was really hot when we went to the beach resort at midday,we had to run till we found shaded parts of sand which are not so hot..but i hear the hot sand probably killed any fungus,or 'smelly' feet!:)

@Tyan: You are right - this sand was very hot. It felt like our feet were frying as wewalked across the dry part, racing to the water's edge to cool our cooking toes.

@Lorraine: My youngest daughter (25) laughs at my toes. She's always had a "thing" for toes and at one time had named each of hers.

what stubby little toes you have, VF!!! (of course, I have what my wife refers to as "mutant toes" with a very long second toe - I can actually pick up things from the floor with them)....
I wish I was sticking my toes in the sand....next month we go to Virginia and I will get my chance then....

@Chris: Hey, they may be stubby, but I can pick things up with them too. So there! Hope you get all the sand in your mutant toes and sandals as you can possibly want next month. Although Gulf sand is far better than Atlantic sand... hahaha. We're going to Big Sur, Bodega Bay, and San Francisco next month, so we'll let you know how the Pacific side sand is, by comparison. We'll be seeing some wine country, and Muir Woods redwoods, plus taking an all-day trip to Yosemite. My first trip to all these places - am I excited, or what?

@Rui: Thing is, I've got all these lenses now. If I shifted over to Canon DSLRs, I'd be starting over. I do like their product, though.

I was just kidding. You're absolutely right. When we decide for Nikon/Canon/Whatever that's the 1st thought one has to make: I'm choosing this system, so (in normal situations) I will use for future purposes, just changing the bodies. It's always possible to change, but the cost is very high. It's a big investment!!

Uncle VF,to answer your question, ''Tai-tai'' is a term to describe wives who are very rich,have tremendous amount of free time,money and spends it on things lke pedicure,manicure,the lastest fashion. They don't have to lift a finger to work..haha,so a day of spa made me feel like a tai-tai,then after that clock strikes twelve and Cinderella is back to rags and menial work,heh heh.

@tyan: "Tai-tai!" I love that word. Hahahaha! It's a great sound-description of such wives as these. We should adopt it into English, because there are a lot of "tai-tai" wives who live in the tropical parts of Florida.

Ahhh, the part of my foot that was always subject to too much sunburn. I hope your feet got a relaxing rest. Lake Michigan has been keeping the sand cool here.
