how nice!This is a lovely keepsake.I am some kind of scavenger at heart,I keep all sorts of things connected with my kids,just so i can look back when they grow up,like their dried up umbilical cord stump,their first hair lock,their first cut fingernails,even the hospital tags that they wore when they were born...the only thing i think i didnt keep was their pee and poo,hohoho.

Very interesting, Glenn. You have presented this like a museum piece. While it does make me think deer, you never know. It is these random finds that years later are discovered to be treasures. A great momento from son to father.
My sister in law is into archeology and has traveled to Wyoming for prehistoric sites. And with the historic discovery of the Lemur Monkey you may have something here.
