Backward Look at Summer

It was stuck in one of my photo folders, this near-forgotten shot I took of late summertime in my backyard. What distinguishes it is that I was using a newish screw-on wide angle cheat lens attachment. It was an early effort at putting it through its paces. Am not sure I know what to do with it, even as I write. But this one shot gives a nice backward look at summer, for those who need a touch of green right about now...

It looks like you got some heavy vignetting from the wide angle attachment, but it seems to work otherwise.

I need this prett view of summer. We are entering some record cold, bitter cold temps this week and it's been a really cold winter here so far, well actually the last 2 winters. Brrrrrrrr!

@Laurie: Glad it offers you a small green fix. Yes, I did get that vignetting. And still I'm not clear on how to get rid of it, or rather, to avoid it being there in the first place. Haven't had a lot of time to fool around with it so far. Am hoping it won't look like this in all my pix. If so, it's outta here. Anybody got ideas or suggestions?

Nice sunny image, remembering those warm days.
Which sftw are you using for edition? You can make some vigneting correction with Lightroom. This is now my preferred sftw.

Yes, the summer greens are different in Florida, aren't they ... so lush and pretty.

We're thanking God for our Belle's improvement, thanks to four medications, both am & pm. She's become a PRO at spitting them out, so we've found that crushing them and putting them in good liverwurst works quite well.

I like the vignetting... makes for a very cool pov. So even if your other shots do turn out like this don't turf it. You may appreciate getting some vignetting for certain images that you WANT to have vignetting in. (hmmm, just noticed that I'm echoing billy... so now you have 2 votes to keep the lens ;-)

@amy: Thanks amy, I appreciate the positive vote. I just want some time to really work it out and see what it can do. I need a good photo shoot expedition, and just have not had the chance to go anywhere but my backyard.

As far as how to deal with the vignetting with this lens set up...I'm not sure. It doesn't look so much like light fall off vignetting as much as actually the edges of the lens attachment itself getting in the way. Did you have a hood on? If so remove the hood and see if that helps...I know that I have one very wide angle lens which requires an ultra slim low profile uv filter to keep it from being visible when attached. What is the focal length of the lens that you attached the wide angle converter to 18mm? or was it DX lens? I don't mind a little light fall of vignetting but this is a bit different.
