Anybody's Guess

It's Sunday, y'all!
I have absolutely drawn a blank as to why I chose this particular shot of a part of the Ringling Mansion, as it overlooks the bay at Sarasota. Maybe something about this Roman bust seems to tie it to Sunday. But really, it's anybody's guess why.

The Roman protecting the entrance, ready to conquer those who intrude. Sculptures, statues, Roman or Greek are a passion of mine. Wonderful image and peek at what I must see at the Ringling estate and museum.

@Barbara: You would enjoy it. I was amazed that a city the size of Sarasota could be the site of such an amazing place. It isn't just the mansion - the museum on the same grounds houses one of the bigger collections of sacred art in the US (and they have various traveling shows - like now, there's an Egyptian exhibit). And then there's the circus museum. Plus two restaurants, a rose garden or two, and lots of beautiful scenery.
