A Place for All Seasons: Florida FallPosted by Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 5 November 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. The election cycle is now past. And hopefully, maybe life can go on. The voters have spoken and this nation will need to live with all the results. So it's back to photoblogging... I was outside early on a cool morning last week, walking Bella. As we returned home I looked up over my house and noticed the bright golden sun playing across the leaves of some of our trees. Thinking myself Autumn-starved, I was surprised by what I saw. On the right side, see the dark green leaves of a mango tree. Then moving from there, right to left, notice those very pink flowers of a native Kapok tree. And then, the burnished green-golden leaves of this autumnal sycamore. Together, the three trees are giving a view of what Fall can look like in coastal Florida. Ok, it's not New England or Canada, it's not Colorado and quaking golden aspens. But the great thing is these three beautiful trees are growing in my Florida yard.
