Timing Is Everything

More on Cape people... This is someone driving off the ferry as it landed at Martha's Vineyard. He was driving a really cool red vintage car, had a dog in the passenger seat, and I was all poised to get this great shot... when, wham! Somebody on the dock stepped into the pic at the last second. So it was either this or nothing. Actually, I do have a cropped version which just shows the man, the dog, and the windshield part of the red car. Even so, I decided I still liked this uncropped one enough to post here. See title above...

I think it actually makes for an interesting vignetting.

I love the composition here. I think the person who passed in front of your camera just made the shot for you. It gives the appearance of movement. Great shot. Give Bella a pat for me. Our little cat Cleo was so sick last night and it just breaks your heart to see them suffer. I got her through it, but it makes you feel so helpless. But I prayed for her and like you say God is good.

Don't you just absolutely hate it when that happens? When I see someone with a camera I pause until they get the shot... but it's still very good. Hugs to Bella!

I can understand the frustration but I must say when this image opened I thought it was such a cool shot. The image is so interesting as it is.
Without the person blocking the shot would have been a great shot too but it would be so much different.

I like this effect, too - you can't tell it was caused by a passing person - it looks intentional and therefore "artistic" :)
