A pretty good summer thunderstorm is raining itself out on the horizon at Cape San Blas' beach, Florida Panhandle.
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 9/6/08, Sat. A nicely cool Florida morning. Bella likes days like this. Nothing special going on this morning, she's out in the yard now playing with our cat Stella (yes, the names rhyme)... God is good.
Bella's miracle, the one we're all praying for, is still a day by day process; it may take a bit of time for completion. Bella's battle for life, wellness, and needed healing for her heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run. Bella and I thank you for joining her prayer "team" around the world. Each of you are truly special blessings to us.

Beautiful soft colors. I love the color of the ocean. It is one of those dreamy beautiful pictures. Give Bella a pat on her sweet little head for me. OK, she is a German Shepard so it's not so little.

You stole my breath, photo is nothing short of DIVINE, the varying shades of colours are magical... And with the magic I feel I send it in vibes to beautiful Bella :)

I absolutely love the colors! It's a beautiful scene, feels calm... even with the approaching storm. Give Bella a hug for me. Hope the squirrels come back for her, then again it's probably nice that they are missing! :-)

Great shot - the colors and stormy clouds are great. Unlike yesterdays shot, in this one I think you should have straightened the horizon (you know I had to say it)!!!
You should see me when I take pictures - I have a protractor, compass, level and GPS to make sure the horizon is level........

Ha, ha..........I'm chuckling at what Chris wrote. Ahem, dare I say I agree with him? <grin> I love the colors here, and how they reflect in the water ... and the rain dropping is dramatic.
Bella, we're happy you didn't have to hunker down during this storm; you were safe and sound at home! xo

Even though this is a dramatic capture, it also has a relaxing feel to it. I could stick my feet in the sand and watch Mother Nature's fireworks and be so content. However, if it happened to turn and head my way, I would have been outta there! Beautiful!
*I just read Betty's comment and I swear I didn't copy! :0p

Chris and Judy - Hahahaha! Thank you for reminding me about your horizon preferences. I love your consistency, and do appreciate your willingness to tolerate my divergences. In general, I don't totally disagree with the concept of straight horizons. And believe it or not, before posting it, this horizon has been straightened some.
But as I considered the aesthetics of this scene, I was losing the curve of the shoreline, where the water meets the sand as I straightened it more. So I decided to leave a subtle tilt to the horizon in order to save what was left of that unstraight water/land shoreline kiss that I always value.
So maybe this is a hint as to why my horizons aren't always straight, at least where there is something like a shoreline to favor -- or like yesterday's railing and shell. Going deeper, I think there may be philosophies that are subtle, but revealing in our preferences/tolerances. Simply put, some look at the horizons of life, and for straight lines. Others are ok with the curves.

VF.......This is spectacular!!! I absolutely LOVE afternoon thundershowers and we have the most brilliant ones here in SA, there's nothing quite like a downpour on a hot sunny afternoon...I love it when I see those thunder heads rolling in. For me there is nothing quite as fresh as the smell of the air after the rain. And as far as horizons go......Mine are ALWAYS skew......and I quite like your analogy on that one........I'm more than okay with the curves!! :) So glad to hear Bella is still having so many good days! :)
