Blasts from the Past 2

Another in my selected slides to digital image collection from long ago. Never one to leave things well enough alone, I decided to desaturate the colors so I'd have a BW image. Then I had to mess just a bit with the contrasts. Voila!

This one is a life-size statue of Jesus, praying in the Garden of Gethsemane (Jerusalem). As I recall it was very moving to find this object of art set in the actual Gethsemane scene, as caught in the act of prayer. I hope the BW tweak sort of gives it a bit of starkness, to fit with the drama of the Passion story.

I really like the play of light and shadow on the statue, really nice in B&W! I can just imagine your feelings at the time this was taken!

This is a wonderful B&W, VF ... a moving image to be sure.
I'll think of him adding prayers to those being lifted up for your dear Bella!

Any good reports on beautiful Bella. She is in my prayers daily. This is a lovely photo. 35mm was a good medium.

Awww, poor Bella (and Belle too), with the heavy thunderstorms last night. The difference being that Belle only weighs 12# so she can be lifted up onto on high bed to snuggle. I hope you're not to achy from sleeping on the floor. ;D

@Judy: Haha. No, I'm not achy, but have sort of been up since 4, when she got me up. Never really went back to sleep, so I'm slightly tired.

@Chris: Thanks Chris, yes she's having a good day today. Last night I was worried as the thunderstorms rolled in and she got really scared. Her heart was racing and that is not good, given her condition. The vet said she is to avoid getting too excited. But she's happy today. It's strictly a day at a time. That's why I'm praying for that miracle. Oh, and yes, I think my wife was amused at me down there on the floor with the dog.
