It's Sunday, y'all! And this poor painted face, cracked and crumbling, reminds me of a verse from the Apostle Paul: "Though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed every day." There's hope in them, thar' words...
Soli Deo Gloria!
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/26/08. Saturday. Bella's good this morning; walk was fun/no squirrels, but we did a different block than usual. She likes variety. Breakfast -- meds soon, the post-walk routine. She slept better last night than the one before. Panting still, but it's hot. So, thank you God for another morning blessing today.
Bella and I are grateful for each of you, for caring and singing (love is all around...), and especially for praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are day by day blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle, slowly unfolding.

You reckon it was one of those others y'shown that did this? 'Pretty Face' of the 14th should be called in for questioning.

Lovely shot VF. I loved your verse too. I read something along those lines yesterday too - It was a reaffirmation of Jesus' acceptance of Peter after His resurrection, how the angel told the women to go and tell the disciples AND PETER of Jesus' resurrection and the author noted that it was a gem of scripture as it showed us that God was giving Peter a second chance. And your verse made me remember that and it just reaffirmed God's promise of always restoring us! Thanks for the reminder my friend and may you and your family be blessed today! :)

Your image and verse touched me also, VF. Our Sunday school class is reading, "Are You Standing on the Promises or Sitting on the Premises?" by James W. Moore and today's lesson is on John 21:15-19, about Jesus' forgiveness of Peter. So in short order we'll be having more discussion of this!
I looked up your "Soli Deo Gloria!" Wikipedia says, "Johann Sebastian Bach signed his sheets of handwritten music with the initials "SDG".

The statue looks like he must have a headache! Great thoughts with your verse as well - as I get older and feel more aches and pains, it is important to remember the work that God is doing in me..... God Bless and happy Sunday!
