Here's what's happening at a reef; we were in a glass-bottomed boat looking down below the waves. There were all kinds of coral, sponges, parrot fish, this little striper schooling around, and barracuda to be seen. [blush] I chose a few short moments from this snapping to become more seasick than I have ever been in my life and had to retreat to the upper deck so I could stare greenly at the horizon for the rest of the cruise.
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/26/08. Saturday. Bella's good this morning; walk was fun/no squirrels, but we did a different block than usual. She likes variety. Breakfast -- meds soon, the post-walk routine. She slept better last night than the one before. Panting still, but it's hot. So, thank you God for another morning blessing today.
Bella and I are grateful for each of you, for caring and singing (love is all around...), and especially for praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are day by day blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle, slowly unfolding.

@Craig: It was all I could do to snap the shutter twice, then run up the stairs into the fresh air.
I hate that seasick feeling, too! Nice shot!

@Betty: I can hardly believe how disappointed I was for getting sick so fast.
Nice capture , I think a glass bottom boat would make me nervous though ...lol

@Man With 101 Names: The boat ride was great as long as we were moving; when we got to the reef, they cut the engine and we began bobbing in the waves. That's when my VF stomach betrayed me.
You are sooo brave, I can only imagine...it's beautiful :)

@Lorraine: Yes, brave and wimpy. I missed all the best shots; Mrs. VF was fine down there, but I had the camera.
Seasick? No fun my dear.... But this is an interesting shot!

@Mandy Provan: Thanks Mans. There was so much more to get shots of; if I'd had the presence of mind, I could have passed the camera off to Mrs. VF and she could have taken some pix (she's a pretty good camera person in her own right). But I just about had to run up the stairs to get out of that room before I fainted, died, or made it very uninhabitable for the others on the boat.
Awww! bless ya VF, that's not a nice feeling to have. A lovely catch of these pretty little fish.

@MaryB: Glub... but I missed the best ones. Irony of all times is that this is the very first and only time I've ever taken dramamine. Never again. I've learned that ginger and something called "motion-ease" works much better. Next time. Next time. Next time...

This is a tough shot to get... seasick or not.. and you did it very nicely!! Poor soul. I've only been airsick (never seasick) once when I was doing some training for air search.. and that's only because I didn't eat before we went up. Lesson learned. But be proud, I managed not to toss my cookies and therefore totally embarrass myself in front of the "guys".
