It's Sunday, y'all!
I found this old fisherman a couple of weeks ago at the Cortez Seafood Festival. He had worked his way through the crowd and had just sat down on a piling for a bit of bottled refreshment.

Had my mind on the story of Jesus' calling his first few disciples. Among them were a number of fishermen. I wondered what James and John's old fisherman dad might have looked like and what he might have done when his two sons dropped their nets and everything, and took off to follow that guy Jesus.

Watching something over his shoulder, maybe this old salt is giving us a modern day idea of what happened next. I'm sure James and John's papa watched this way, as his two sons disappeared from his sight down a dusty Galilee trail.

Soli Deo Gloria!
