Faces in a Crowd 6 (finale)Posted by Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 16 February 2008 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. OK, the return of the blonde pirate chick... plus an overlay (layering?) of a parade float, its beaded, costumed riders, and the crowd. Just messin' with picasa stuff to see if this one image can catch the whole party spirit in a single blended look... It's Gasparilla, Tampa's version of Mardi Gras. This year's events just took place several weeks ago. Gasparilla commemorates a mostly-storied pirate invasion of Tampa Bay. Any excuse to celebrate, there are parades, parties, and at times even wildness. People dress up in all sorts of costumes as they stroll along the parade route, in various stages of partying spirit. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.
