Faces in a Crowd 2

Gasparilla is Tampa's version of Mardi Gras. This year's event just took place several weeks ago - Gasparilla commemorates a mostly legendary pirate invasion of Tampa Bay, and there are parades, parties, and all sorts of wildness. People dress up in different, mostly pirate-related costumes as they stroll along the parade route. It's usually a good natured crowd, and most have lots of fun.

There is a lot going on in this parade -- hands upraised, the crowd roars at costumed pirates atop parade floats to "surrender the booty" (meaning, "throw me some beads!")... and here, some contemplative Gasparilla pirates are considering doing just that.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.
