Ok let's move down the peninsula a ways to a an area called "St. Armand's" near Sarasota and Bradenton. Look for one of the great Florida restaurants -- the Colombia House, featuring delicious Colombian/Cuban/Latino cuisine (there are several CH locations within Florida)...
Here notice the remains of a pitcher of delicious, cold sangria. Hits the spot on a hot, beachy day.
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/26/08. Saturday. Bella's good this morning; walk was fun/no squirrels, but we did a different block than usual. She likes variety. Breakfast -- meds soon, the post-walk routine. She slept better last night than the one before. Panting still, but it's hot. So, thank you God for another morning blessing today.
Bella and I are grateful for each of you, for caring and singing (love is all around...), and especially for praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are day by day blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle, slowly unfolding.

I love these pitchers of soft clay. Too bad they are so fragile...

@Wolfgang Prigge: If you ever get to a Colombia House, you can purchase one of these pitchers, new and unchipped. Just watch it in the dishwasher; hand washing is better.
it must have been a hot day , with all the condensation on your glasses

@Man with 101 names: It was hot; this restaurant has open air spaces and we were seated in that area -- heat, fans, shade, and sometimes on bad karma days, flies.
Looks delicious!!! Nice shot VF!

I'm feeling parched despite being in the middle of a snow storm! ;-) I imagine the colorful pitcher says something about the restaurant's decor.

I am sitting here in the dead of winter thinking "Florida is only a plane-ride away." Big sigh.

@Michael Rawluk: Florida can also be a state of mind, no matter where you are (or how frozen). Put on some Jimmy Buffett music, or a steel drum band, grab a Hawaiian shirt and put it on (over your long johns), and sip on a Margarita or a Pina Colada. You'll warm up fairly quickly... it works! Umm, you might also want to pull out the good old heat lamp and get it going, too. ;o)
I am already thirsty.
