A Week at the Beach 2

Well a week at the beach would hardly be complete without seeing people enjoy the water. Here we have two VF daughters, as they get ready to get wet; the cool water comes as a welcome shock on a hot summer day at the beach.

Note to the winterbound: This is water; it is ice or snow in liquid form. ;o)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.

@Mandy: When they were little, the oldest always ventured out into the water first, the youngest always lagged behind at the shoreline and ran squealing from the incoming waves. Notice here it is the oldest who has gone ahead; it's her the wave is breaking against. Our younger one is still sort of "lagging behind" as she ventures in, protected by the float.

Thanks for bringing warmth to our days, even here it is chilly. I would tell you the temp but most people on here would laugh at me for thinking "our" cold is cold. Since our bodies are used to 115degree temps 60 is cold to us. ha ha

@Dawn Sutherland: It went down to 38 F. last week and I was freezing (yes it can get cold in Paradise). I've spent the last 20 years in Iowa, Kentucky, and Georgia and it gets considerably colder in those places, but now we live in tropical Florida. It's like you said -- you get used to hot temps, and the slightest drop can feel really cold.
