Yesterday's very green post drew a few gasps from some who may still be wearing sunglasses to protect tender eyes from a green overdose. So today will draw again from last summer's archives and present a rather limited tonal offering. It is a series of what appear to be converging lines that come from a closeup of the center of a three-dimensional, five pointed metal star hanging on a garden wall in our yard. No cropping done; as is direct from the camera.
Just a word of thanks to my friends and visitors for coming by this site. I truly appreciate each and every one of your visits and comments or suggestions; my response time is very limited, so I may be remiss in thanking you personally for being here. Please know I truly enjoy hearing from you all; Am3 family, you're the best!
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/26/08. Saturday. Bella's good this morning; walk was fun/no squirrels, but we did a different block than usual. She likes variety. Breakfast -- meds soon, the post-walk routine. She slept better last night than the one before. Panting still, but it's hot. So, thank you God for another morning blessing today.
Bella and I are grateful for each of you, for caring and singing (love is all around...), and especially for praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are day by day blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle, slowly unfolding.

Simple is excellent. Nice texture and interesting color. Rust can be arresting. Well done.

Great textures, shape and colour VF :)

Nicely done!

Nope, not green! :)
Nice experiment. I like doing this sort of thing from time to time. Zeroing in on detail and picking up shapes and textures is a good exercise.
This could benefit from a wee crop to ditch that white spot up at the top right.
Cool image.

@MontereyJohn: Ahh, cropping that corner, you are soooo right. After I posted this, I noticed it there and was too lazy to redo it. But it would definitely look better. I also just noticed a little white spot on the lower portion that I could have cloned out. But then as they say in parts of the Middle East, "Only God is perfect!"
Thanks for coming by and commenting, MJ.

No pain at all...like the colour and texture :)

This one is terrific colour-wise. And you are right with what yo said to MontereyJohn. It would be better with a touch of a crop.

@Michael Rawluk: Thanks MR. See above and my comment post that follows...
Hey everybody, after the good suggestions today I decided to do a mid-day, mid-course correction and got unlazy and cropped and cloned and replaced the original with the "perfected" version. So this is what you are seeing from 1:58 PM on... Aiming to please. --VF.

It is a great image of colour, texture, and design... really like it. And the crop would make it better... ;-) But I really get that lazy thing, too!! LOL
