As sundown for 2007 approaches, this boat and its crew are setting sail for a very Happy New Year. I hope everyone joins in the glad celebration of welcome for 2008.
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/23/08. Wednesday. Another good Bella morning, she is in good spirits, even with they mysterious disappearance of our normally numerous and active neighborhood squirrel population. Maybe "Sheriff Bella" has cleaned out Dodge and sent all those tree-climbing hoodlums packing. Heh.
Bella and I appreciate each of you for caring and praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are daily blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle that is slowly unfolding.

@sherri: Thank you Sherri. I really like your blue chair today; tried to comment there but it didn't come up after I clicked on "send".
Stunning view and shot...great work VF

Nice composition and lighting - I really enjoy your work. I don't know if you thought about trying to straighten the horizon (but then the mast would be crooked). I know I alway have a hard time with horizons in my pictures and that is my number 1 correction in PaintShop Pro.
God bless your new year!

@Chris: Thanks for the compliments and the suggestion about the horizon. It's just that horizons are not in reality straight lines, but have curves and I am not troubled by such -- unless it's really way off. I realize I may be "way off" in not being bothered, but... hey, that's me. Happy New Year, my friend.
No, I don't think you are "off". That is the great thing about art, nobody can be wrong in their opinion. Now my problem is that you have me thinking about how the earth is round - I feel myself losing balance now......

@Chris: LOL!
Great shot! The reflection of the sail and sun between you and the boat is really interesting.

I'm chuckling over Chris from 'South Jersey's' comment and your response, Chris. As an 'old salt' myself, I can live with the curve of the horizon/earth, but if the water 'tipped' we'd slide off the earth! <grin> As one who got seasick and was trained to "watch the horizon," I want it straight! *smile* ... I still love your shot! ... Happy New Year - be SAFE!

Oh My God, it's brilliant, I love it, love it, love it....it's about time you visit me, I didn't know you were posting again!

@Lorraine: Heh. Am glad I was missed. But I did say random (plan c) would be the pattern -- for now that has meant very, very few comments or replies from me. That may continue for the foreseeable future, I just don't know right now. But I am delighted you re-discovered my photo-presence here and have come over bringing lots of great comments -- I've enjoyed your last several posts at your place (I was lurking) -- the crow and chimney, the red door and curtains are especially incredible Lorraine shots. As is today's wintry snow scene.
VF, this is gorgeous! Color, light, reflections, all of it...simply gorgeous! I am very glad that you decided to keep your blog going, even if it is on a random basis. You would be very much missed if you shut it down. Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year!
