BoiledPosted by Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 22 December 2007 in Art & Design and Portfolio. Here's a festive start to Dimitrios' holiday project. New Orleanians are known for two things: we love spicey boiled seafood, and we don't mind "tacky" things. No matter where we may live now, by place of origin and birth, Mrs. VF and I are forever New Orleanians. And on our tree one of the tackiest and most fun ornaments is this porcelain boiled shrimp (they were all the rage in New Orleans a couple of decades ago). Our one remaining shrimp still hangs on our tree proudly every year and reminds us of better days back home. And in addition to this photo being my wish for the merriest Christmas and the happiest New Year to everyone, it's #6 in my random "Treasures on our Tree" series. Jingle bell rock, y'all! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.
