Brightly...

This could qualify as Purple 8 from my random purple series a few weeks back. In vivid beach/tropical colors, these brightly painted porch rails stand out in the Bradenton Art District. An interesting walk-around area, even without a camera. However a puny image to post here; was out of options and time when I put it into the queue. I might have done better to post nothing at all.

Am3 friends -- I just appreciate you all so much. Your visits and comments are special to me. Today I am letting you all know I will be taking a bit of a leave of absence from here. I'll have some daily posts for the rest of this week, but I am evaluating my time-commitment to this daily thing. I am considering either dropping to random/occasional, doing just weekends, or ending it altogether. We are entering into my busiest time of the year and there is not enough of me left to do church, family, and photoblog justice, as well as take care of me. So I will be stepping back and evaluating my participation. Just wanted you, my dear friends, to know.

Please pray for Bella.

Bella Update: 07/23/08. Wednesday. Another good Bella morning, she is in good spirits, even with they mysterious disappearance of our normally numerous and active neighborhood squirrel population. Maybe "Sheriff Bella" has cleaned out Dodge and sent all those tree-climbing hoodlums packing. Heh.

Bella and I appreciate each of you for caring and praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.

What we have right now are daily blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle that is slowly unfolding.

Hey VF...it's a lovely bright railing!!! I'm sad to hear you're thinking of leaving but I totally understand how the time element comes into play. We need to take care of ourselves too and spreading oneself too thin will just lead to unhappiness for both yourself and the ones closest to you. I hope you have a fabulous Christmas VF, with lots of time spent with your loved ones. I love the colors of the railing. Art colonies are always so colorful and full of interesting and unusual sights.

I know how difficult it is to keep up a daily blog. I have 2 but I don't post daily and sometimes I step away for days at a time. Just know that even if you only post on occasion people will still come around to visit. I hope you find time to throw us a bone every so often, although I certainly understand if you cannot.

Another nice one! As for your dilemma, I can understand it, and you must do what is best for you and your family. I still hope you can make it an occasional or weekend commitment, as your postings are always special and thoughtful, but you must think about yourself first. I guess we here at granby.aminus3 are lucky that we have a collaborative thing going on where the work is spread out over several people....

VERY nicely done Viewfinder!! Those colours are just amazing.

I so understand your dilemma, too. That's one of the reasons I stopped responding to all comments. But family and life must take priority. I would sincerely miss your posts. Maybe you can be like Lost Valley and just post on weekends. Whatever you decide know that I/we understand.

VF! We will miss you. I agree with Amy, I don't really respond to comments (only direct questions on technique if I have time!!) because this photoblog thing can be so all-consuming! But don't lose your passion for the art - I hope you keep shooting even if it's on weekends, enjoy it, and we hope to see you on AM3 again soon!

Oh VF I certainly hope that you can figure a way to post at least every once in a while.
I know what you mean though, I have been haphazard with my comments and posts...life has just speeded up and even when I have time I really don't. I hope you can work out at least a little part time AM3, if not please take care and bless you and your family!
