It's Sunday, y'all!
And while Thanksgiving Week is ended, I am still thankful to God today for the gift of faith, and for the Church. This is the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, an iconic image of that city's French Catholic heritage, yet beloved by New Orleanians of both Protestant and Catholic persuasions.
Soli Deo Gloria!
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/26/08. Saturday. Bella's good this morning; walk was fun/no squirrels, but we did a different block than usual. She likes variety. Breakfast -- meds soon, the post-walk routine. She slept better last night than the one before. Panting still, but it's hot. So, thank you God for another morning blessing today.
Bella and I are grateful for each of you, for caring and singing (love is all around...), and especially for praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are day by day blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle, slowly unfolding.

@Lorraine: Thank you Lorraine. I haven't been feeling very fabulous lately; this cold I've been fighting has been a bear.

@amy: Thanks for the nice comments and the good wishes on how I feel. Wish I could say totally better, but "some better" is the best I can do; this thing is really hanging on.
What an outstanding place of worship VF!!! Gorgeous capture. I have really enjoyed your Thankful series and am going to do a bit of a "Real Meaning of Christmas" series as we move into December........I just need to start collecting images that really portray the special nature of this great time of the year!!! :) Many Blessings to you my dear friend on this wonderful Sunday.
BTW I love the processing on the edges......how did you do that? What effect is it and did you do it in Photoshop? cos I'd really like to try something like that on one of my pictures but haven't a clue how to do it...I'm a processing amateur I'm afraid!! ;( hahaha

@Mandy Provan: Thanks Mandy, the edges are the result of an old photoshop-type program I used to have; it was a framing tool. I think photoshop and some others do have some version of this. I know of one other that also might -- will check on it later and let you know if I find some specifice. Meanwhile, somebody else along here might know. --VF
Wow, how did u do the framing?

@MaryB: Thank you Mary. It is a beautiful church; the interior is amazing, like walking into history. Glad you like it. And thanks too for the good wishes on how I feel. Am still on antibiotics and painkillers and vitamins and stuff; the congestion has improved but it keeps kicking back in. A miserable virus -- everybody around here has been saying it lasts 3 or 4 weeks. I'm starting to believe it will. Moan, groan.
