Thankful 5

It's the day after Thanksgiving day, and that can mean only three things: Shopping, leftover turkey, and Football.

And for me, that means the LSU (Louisiana State University) Tigers. Today is a big LSU game, versus the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. It's the regular season finale and while it will not have an impact on who goes to Atlanta (from the SEC West) for the SEC championship game, it can impact who gets invited to what bowls, and maybe even the National Championship.

For me every year, college football is a lot of fun and excitement. This is a posterized shot I took and processed, of my favorite team coming off the field at halftime.

Whatever it is that you enjoy, whatever you think of doing as having fun -- if they are good and positive things count them as blessings. And join with me, because today I am thankful to God for the gift of enjoyment and having fun.

Bella Update: 10/12/08, Sun. Bella's in good spirits; we had our morning walk and a squirrel crossed her path. Highlight! Bella will see her doggie cardiologist again on October 14th. As always, God's good blessings and answers to prayer are our continuing hope. Blessings to all.

Bella's miracle, the one we're all praying for, is still a day by day process; it may take a bit of time for completion. Bella's battle for life, wellness, and needed healing for her heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run. Bella and I thank you for joining her prayer "team" around the world. Each of you are truly special blessings to us.
