Extreme Vision

We are looking at an iconic image of tropical/coastal Florida. Now don't get me wrong, I like palm trees. No, I love palm trees. But around these parts, palm trees are everywhere. There are some palms native to the area, but an extreme vision of the tropics has introduced all sorts of "exotic" palms that do well in the balmy Florida climate but are not particularly natural inhabitants.

Whether these particular ones are or are not native, I do not know. What I've tried to do in processing is offer a hint of the extreme vision of a mythic tropical Florida, as seen by developers and profiteers, with the use of some color saturation techniques.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.
