Trick or Treat

October 31st, as Universal $tudios in Orlando, Florida measures it (oops, did I use the $$ sign by mistake?)...

These classic monsters rock!

But then, there's also this more contemporary sound that when I first heard it and saw the movie it went with, it scared the bejeebers out of my wife and me.

Happy Halloween!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.

Hey VF!!! Great shot......I love the colours of those monsters!!! I listened to the tune - but i haven't a clue what it is - I'm not a big fan of horror movies so that probably took me out of the running to guess it!! hahhaa. Happy halloween my friend! :)

VF I love this photo and the tune is fabulous, is it cartoon music that played to herald danger???? or one of those classic horror movies? Do tell ;)

@Lorraine: So glad you like. The music is from the movie "Halloween" (1978). I think it is definitely one of the most tension-building and creepy themes I've ever heard in a movie. One of my other favorites is the opening theme music from Bela Lugosi's "Dracula" -- an excerpt from Tchaikowski's (sp?) "Swan Lake" -- very melancholy and connected to the vampire genre, eerie in its own right.

For all who in the first round tried to name that tune -- it's the theme from the original movie "Halloween" in digital music format. I think we have one winner -- e. of Washington D.C. got it right! Congratulations, e. May your trick or treat goodie bag always be full.
