It's Sunday, y'all! Thought this image might lift some spirits today.
But our ghostly parade has just one last tableaux. This one being a shot of one of the old Canal Street cemeteries. Complete with tombstones and crosses and other grave markers. Trick or treat!
Oh, and I am reminded also that All Saints Day is November 1, just four days from today. Always a big day in Catholic New Orleans.
Soli Deo Gloria!
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/26/08. Saturday. Bella's good this morning; walk was fun/no squirrels, but we did a different block than usual. She likes variety. Breakfast -- meds soon, the post-walk routine. She slept better last night than the one before. Panting still, but it's hot. So, thank you God for another morning blessing today.
Bella and I are grateful for each of you, for caring and singing (love is all around...), and especially for praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are day by day blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle, slowly unfolding.

@tyan: Soli is Latin and means something along the lines of: only, or totally, or completely, or wholely, or alone. Soli Deo Gloria comes out of the Reformation tradition, and means something like "For God's glory alone" or "God alone be glorified."
It's great VF....I love the detail you can see in the sky!!! Awesome. I have really enjoyed your "ghost" series!! :) I hope your Sunday was Blessed

@bronzebilly u.k.: You honor me, sir! Thank you Billy. And I assume you're talking about reading up on the Battle of New Orleans, fought on Chalmette Battlefield on in January of 1814? It's true, the rag-tag army of Jackson and his pirates did put a whipping on that high-stepping British Redcoat bunch. But it was after the treaty was already signed; no instant messaging in those days, or telegraphs. Sadly, the commander of the British, Col. Sir Edward Packenham, met his demise on that field.
You have this PP effect down pat VF! This is excellent! Very atmospheric. Great work.
