People watching one day, I saw this guy with all these tattoos fishing off a short pier at Long Boat Key. Just had to grab this shot...
Sittin' here resting my bones And this loneliness won't leave me alone It's two thousand miles I roamed Just to make this dock my home
Now, I'm just gonna sit at the dock of the bay Watching the tide roll away Oooo-wee, sittin' on the dock of the bay Wastin' time
(Props to Otis...)
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 10/12/08, Sun. Bella's in good spirits; we had our morning walk and a squirrel crossed her path. Highlight! Bella will see her doggie cardiologist again on October 14th. As always, God's good blessings and answers to prayer are our continuing hope. Blessings to all.
Bella's miracle, the one we're all praying for, is still a day by day process; it may take a bit of time for completion. Bella's battle for life, wellness, and needed healing for her heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run. Bella and I thank you for joining her prayer "team" around the world. Each of you are truly special blessings to us.

Great shot VF!!! Very cool tattoo's! hahaha.......and speaking of tattoo's, you were right the other day - Ethan did have a tattoo on his arm!!!hahahaha...it was of the rub off variety! My boys LOVE them ...well spotted! I had to go back and look at it again to check!hahhaa

@Mandy: Thanks Mandy. I was sure Ethan's was one of those "wipe-offs" that my son used to like at the same age. Prepare, though as he ages, b/c my son at 18 got one that does not wipe off. At 25 he is still happy with it, I guess.
la peche est bonne ?

@Jen: Thank you Jen; yours could have a musical background too -- "Are you going to Scarbourough Fair? Parsley, sage..." etc. I hope you have a great week.
Fishing can be a passion, as it comes across here, for people of all walks of life.

@Wolfgang Prigge: Yes it is. Florida has a whole host of passionate fishermen and women.

@Jerry: As I watched him and his ladyfriend companion (not in this pic) at ease on this pier, it seemed they knew the area well.
You know it's not the size of the rod that matters it how you USE it !!! ...lol... Nice shot View , I especially like the light about his head .... good capture
22 Oct 2007 8:38am
@Me , Myself & Eye: The light... heh. Yes, it's cool, the way it sort of looks like the light post is growing out of his head and blossoming at the end. Really skillful on my part, don't you think?
Love this.

@Nadine: Many thanks Nadine. I appreciate the nice comment.
Yeah, some shots are like that - i do the same thing (although you guys never see that side of me & my photos ;) you only get to see the side of my pottery. Thats ok tho the pinhole is helping to show the other side of my photography skillz.
Sweet shot - i'd like to be there looking out at the water it looks lovely.

@Rabbit: I think photographers and potters must have something in common -- we show our best (or faves), not our worst stuff most typically.
Aah, one of my favorite songs of all time, big shout out to Otis! Love this shot, I have yet to fish off of a pier. I see people doing it all the time.

@Dawn Sutherland: Thanks! Pier fishing can be very rewarding and it's cheap on gas, too. Glad you like this and the song, Dawn.
Such a bony guy. Nice poem to go with it. The photo is superb

@Amir: How nice of you Amir; the poem is actually a classic popular song from the 1960s by Otis Redding.
