Still starved for Autumn in my new life in coastal paradise, here's yet another shot of Fall in Georgia. This is from one of our front yard cherry trees -- a few straggling leaves cling forlornly to their branch as they watch their already fallen sister and brother leaves lying on the damp ground below, soon to be scattered about by a chilly October wind.
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 10/14/08, Tuesday. Bella will see her doggie cardiologist today. We are hoping and praying he will find some healing/improvement in her heart/aortic valve condition. God is the one who heals and blesses.
Bella's miracle, the one we're all praying for, is still a day by day process; it may take a bit of time for completion. Bella's battle for life, wellness, and needed healing for her heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run. Bella and I thank you for joining her prayer "team" around the world. Each of you are truly special blessings to us.

Wow, beautifully, beautifully evocative of the deep sense of loss that can come with Fall, dear VF. Superb tones and DOF, carrying all the delicate loveliness of autumn. I am comforted that even through the loss of these leaves that must come with the season, we can look forward to regeneration and fresh new life for these cherry trees in the spring after the long cold winter that is to come. I do hope they continue to be lovingly tended through the years, as they are such wonderful trees indeed! How blessed to have had these growing in your front yard!! Can very much comprehend why you miss them. A really blessed weekend to you and yours, dear VF!

Thanks all who came by with comments, visits, or greetings. It is always encouraging to hear from each person, both regulars and first-timers here. This particular shot of the three "fall y'all" shots was my favorite. I especially liked it because of the dof and the background of out of focus fallen leaves. The tattered in-focus leaves to me told the story that they also were soon to be fallen, but had weathered many a storm up until that point. Perhaps a better title for this photo might have been "Perseverance" because of that. It surprised me a little that this got the least number of comments of the three in this series. But then, it was Saturday and maybe people have lives as well as cameras. I sure wasn't able to go around to your sites yesterday either; much to do. So blessings all, and thanks again for coming by. I look forward to visiting more with each of you later on. --VF.
