Autumn on the Tickfaw is not spectacular as in New England, but it has its moments. Like this one, where the crisp blue sky reflects vividly in those glassy spots and quiet ripples of the river. Le fleuve continue à couler.
Number three of this Tickfaw River Days series. Oh, and yes to get the proper exposure in the shady foreground, I had to tolerate overexposure of the brighter distance. Too lazy this time to do any post processing to correct.
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 10/12/08, Sun. Bella's in good spirits; we had our morning walk and a squirrel crossed her path. Highlight! Bella will see her doggie cardiologist again on October 14th. As always, God's good blessings and answers to prayer are our continuing hope. Blessings to all.
Bella's miracle, the one we're all praying for, is still a day by day process; it may take a bit of time for completion. Bella's battle for life, wellness, and needed healing for her heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run. Bella and I thank you for joining her prayer "team" around the world. Each of you are truly special blessings to us.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! I am joining in with Dimitrios' latest call...
Dimitrios says:
Ok my am3 friends YOU HAVE Asked for it. A new theme for your talents to be put into action. Wall graffiti always fascinated me. A strong message is given, an art is produced for all to enjoy free of charge or maybe it can be ugly. So go out , look around, small or big does not matter, find the graffiti that impresses you, photograph it and show to the am3-world this great form of expression or dislike if you think it does so. Please post your contribution with the title GRAFFITI DAYs on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 NOVEMBER 2007. ADVERTISE the idea to as many of your am3 friends as possible. Best photo-regards, DIMITRIOS

Nice reflection indeed! Well at least improvising with the camera still gave a good photo.

@Stunner: Glad you think so; I like the overall look of the shot, so I can tolerate the bright spot downstream.
Wow yeah - thats quite a reflection - does look like glass... I like being able to see the shaded area, i know all about overexposure. yup. i think i got that one DOWN PAT.

@Rabbit: LOL. Overexposure can bite sometimes, other times you just push it back (like here) and forget about it.
It is a lovely image despite the overexposure! Those reflections are truly wonderful.

Beautiful isn't it? Only at the picture you realize the mirror-effect so intensily. When you're on the spot you notice it but don't pay attention to it, on a photo the miracle becomes really visible! Thanks for sharing!

It's good to have a lazy day :) and the effect directs the eye to the beautiful detail in the foreground! cheers!
