Gumbo Limbo, au naturale

Ok, so yesterday we did a history shot of a gumbo limbo tree. For inquiring minds that want to know, today this is what one looks like in real life, all green and brown and un-photoshopped, and all. Pretty much the way God made 'em to be.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.

Wow - it's a fantastic tree VF!! A real beauty. I love those tangled up branches.

BTW I'm going to be joining you in the D80 club....hopefully by the end of the week. I dropped my D70 a few months back and it went in for repairs and when it came back just wasn't the same, to cut a long story short I had to take it back to Nikon and they've deemed it uneconomical to repair....so now I wait upon the insurance to okay the quotes I got on the D80 and I'll have it by friday - whether they pay or not because I have that wedding on saturday!!! hahahha....so either my budget will be SEVERELY dented for quite a while or I will be smiling all the way to the camera shop!!! hahaha...D80 here I come! :)
