First OnePosted by Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 10 September 2007 in Art & Design and Portfolio. Ok (cue drum roll...), here is the first shot I'm posting from my new D80. Went to the Bradenton Art District Saturday morning, and these banners were flying outside one of the shops. Was more worried about the general capture than the total composition, so a piece from one of the poles was cut off from view. Darn! Even with that little glitch in this one shot, I am feeling pretty good about the "feel" of my D80 -- so far. Now I just need to go out and do lots more shots to build up an image bank.

@Sriram: Thank you very much for coming here today, and for this nice comment. @Inés: Thank you; your comment gives me a moment to smile in return. Mandy from Johannesburg, South AfricaWhat awesome colours VF!!! Stunning shot...Where your colours set to vivid or normal...because they really jump out at you!!!! Caqn't wait to see more....bring on the D80! :) 10 Sep 2007 6:29am @Mandy: Thank you Mandy. I'm pretty excited about the results. Far as I can tell from what I know of my settings so far, this is "normal" in the color dept. The Art District this was taken in is a very colorful/Caribbean-Florida look kind of area, where the very vivid is the norm, splashed all over the place, like this photo depicts. Oh, and what may have caused the colors of these banners appear to be so extra-glowing is they were back-lit by the sun. BTW, your son Ethan has taken a really good portrait of you and your son and your friend and her child today. I don't blame you for being proud of his work. tyan from Singapore, Singaporewow, a colourful opening for sure!this is brilliant!I love the vivid colours!thanks VF for coming by and saying such encouraging words,i really appreciate it!:) 10 Sep 2007 6:42am @tyan: Thank you tyan.
