Sunset Series, 6Posted by Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 25 August 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This is the grand finale. Sometimes the very best colors happen a bit after the sun sinks below the Gulf horizon. That's when all kinds of extra leftover light gets caught up in the towering, drifting clouds, and starts painting its wild, colored palette across an eager canvas-sky. Confession: I just ever so slightly brightened this (10%) and tweaked the contrast (only 20%) -- to better show the trees and hut roof. Even so, my eyes have seen it. Now yours have, too. Sunset truly is a most magical time here in what the locals call "paradise". Hope you've enjoyed this little series. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AT AM3. I am out and probably away from the computer all this week. We are headed to north Georgia to spend Thanksgiving with our son and his wife and her family. I hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day, filled with turkey and gratitude for every blessing. And those who do not, I hope will remember to count their blessings and be thankful. Packing and getting the SUV all set for the drive today; we leave very early Tuesday morning and plan to return sometime Sunday.
