Change of pace. Looking through a light screen of sea oats on the dune, here's a cooler, more restful sunset, showing some of the last light of the day. There is a soft covering of high clouds, which accounts for the overall bluer tones. A great sky for meditating and quiet moods.
My aim with this series to offer you a peek at just a few of the many moods of sunset in these parts of the Florida west (Gulf) coast.
@tyan: Well m'lady, this is a most kind thing to tell me so early in the day (over here anyway)... Thank you tyan. Have a tranquil day or night... it's just shy of 8 am here -- wondering how many hours ahead is Singapore from US Eastern Daylight time? UPDATE: Ah, I googled up a time-zone converter and it indicates you are ahead by 12 hours. 8am here equals 9pm in Singapore. Is that right?
@ColNed Pictures: Sometimes these are my favorite kinds of sunsets; the harlequin riots are visually exciting, but these are truly restful for the soul.
@FrannyC: You are welcome. And thank you for stopping by and leaving such a nice assessment.
@Sriram: Thank you.
@Saed: Thanks Saed. Have a great day and evening.
@Rebel Streetshooter: Thank you Rebel. And here's to a nice, tranquil day for you (and me)...
@Andrew Gould: Glad you stopped by today Andrew. And thanks for the affirming words.
@Nick Passantino: thank you Nick.
@Lorraine: Gotta say it -- this is a beautiful compliment. Thank you Lorraine.
@Brian: Thanks Brian. But you da man today; over at your place, your Captiva sunset really rocks.
@Josh: Peaceful is something the world is finding to be in short supply. Glad you found a bit of it in this image.
@Ian Bramham: Thank you Ian, I appreciate your kind remarks.
@Wolfgang Prigge: Thank you. Best thing is sunsets are free. Isn't great nobody has figured out a way to charge us to look?
@Lost Valley: You're very kind; I am happy this one is pleasing.
@Rebecca: Glad you like this one. Have a peaceful, soothing day and evening.
@See The Light: Thank you, STL.
@Markus: Thank you Markus.
@Richard_Irwin: What you're describing was something that really caught my eye and made this sunset a cut above some others. Thanks for the observations.
@Laurie: Thanks Laurie. On your 8/21 shot of the romantic couple on the end of the pier, you pointed out that the darker area in what would have been a sky space was actually mountains. Looking at it more carefully, I can almost see that. That's an amazing place, it must be truly beautiful to see the whole thing all around you.
@MaryB: Glad this is a good series for you. It makes me happy that you and others are enjoying these sunsets as much as I did when I snapped the shutter.
@Michael Keith: Am very glad this series has been pleasing. Thanks for your kind words.
@Walt: It's nice the way that pink sort of peeks out from between the blue clouds. Thanks for coming by and leaving your comments. Much appreciation.
@amy: Welcome back Amy. You missed these, but you've left some great ones of your time at the lake for us all to enjoy. Glad you're here and soaking some of this in. Thanks for the kind words.
@Dawn Sutherland: Enjoy... and thanks for stopping over again, Dawn. Always glad when you're around.
@beach: Thanks beach. I'm happy you like this one.
