"Difficult is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:14) It's Sunday on the Island, and everywhere people are looking for life...
Soli Deo Gloria!
Please pray for Bella.
Bella Update: 07/26/08. Saturday. Bella's good this morning; walk was fun/no squirrels, but we did a different block than usual. She likes variety. Breakfast -- meds soon, the post-walk routine. She slept better last night than the one before. Panting still, but it's hot. So, thank you God for another morning blessing today.
Bella and I are grateful for each of you, for caring and singing (love is all around...), and especially for praying. Please understand this miracle being prayed for, because although it is day by day, it also may take a bit of time for completion: Bella's battle for life, wellness, and a healed heart isn't a sprint but a long-distance run.
What we have right now are day by day blessings: I am prayerfully thankful that her good days may be God's bit by bit miracle, slowly unfolding.

@Bron: Thank you Bron. You might be interested in knowing that these lovely trees along the path are Austrailian pines. Sometime inside the last 100 years or less, Florida brought in Austrailian pines to assist in draining swampy areas and wet ground. They took to their new environment with abandon and spread like wildfire. Unfortunately the environmental purists now view them as "not natural to Florida" and are leading a campaign to erradicate them, along with some other non-native species. A far more ominous population has taken root in the Florida Everglades -- the Burmese python. There is now a breeding population that is established there. So far I have no pictures to offer.
I must say, this is a very wonderful way to walk! :) Blessed Sunday, VF. :)

I must also say this brings to mind so much another of our much favoured songs. Hope you'll enjoy it here :-)

Happy Sunday :-)

@Rebecca: Beautiful, and thank you Rebecca for sharing this extra thought, plus the link to more. And there is so, so much more!
Beautiful warm colors. I must say I'm envious of the people in the motorhome parked in such a lovely spot.

@Wolfgang Prigge: Yes. Subtle, warm colors, especially compared the blazing beauty on your site today. Thank you for this nice comment.
That message is very true, thanks for the image and the message.

@Dawn Sutherland: Thank you, Dawn. And blessings for the day.
Cool shot and like how someone cut the trees in a roundish sort of way. Nice...

@Rebel Streetshooter: Florida does seem to be able to allow for not all straight lines. I think the beach culture lends itself to wandering some, meandering from one point to the next in no particular hurry. Jimmy Buffett is right -- "changes in latitude, changes in attitude." I've even met some former New Yorkers who are pretty laid back about things <he says with a wicked but friendly grin>...
Nice perspective. Well done!

@bronzebilly u.k.: It's a great place to go and just enjoy being alive on such a beautiful planet; there is still much beauty to be found for those with eyes to see.
I think many of our trees have colonised the world VF! Eucalyptus sp. are everywhere - and there's a huge push here too to limit the spread of introduced species - it's be very sad to cut the stand in your photo though. Let's hope they're spared!!
