JumbledPosted by Viewfinder (Bradenton, FL, United States) on 13 August 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. "People wish to be settled: only as far as they are unsettled is there any hope for them." (Ralph Waldo Emerson) Confused? Almost looking like a wild swarm of protozoan life as viewed under a powerful microscope, these are merely ordinary wood golf tees, jumbled and psychedelicized (via pp'ing) lying on a piece of blue carpet. Let me know what you think of this jumble...

{H} creatives from Santa Clara, United StatesWow! Amazing capture of a concept that is excellently executed! It's "psychedelically" refreshing, actually! B-) p.s. sorry for my hiatus...work has been a tad bit crazy but hope to be p-blogging regularly again soon! B-) 13 Aug 2007 6:18am @{H} creatives: Missed ya, buddy -- am glad you are getting back. Work can tend to put a crimp in our fun, every now and then. I know. Thanks for the accolades my friend. Blessings. Olaide from fort collins, CO, USA, United Statesvery creative. You have good imagination. 13 Aug 2007 8:06am @Olaide: Thank you for the kind word, Olaide. @Inés: Merci beaucoup. @Craiger: Thanks Craiger. How's the Death Valley book or calendar (or both) coming along this morning? @Lorraine: You are too kind, my friend. Thanks! eureka from Boston, United Stateswow. this is really cool. i actually thought they were nails. how'd you get the colors to come out all psychedelic? 13 Aug 2007 11:44am @eureka: Hi. I'm glad you like this one. In one of my photoprocessing software programs (Roxio), there's a special setting for psychedelic effects. I messed with it that way. @tyan: You just made my day! Thank you for that compliment. @Laurie: Thank you Laurie. I appreciate your comment. Today's image is just something I was messing around with. The results surprised me; I'm not even sure I particularly liked it at the time. I'm still not sure about it. But this is the first of two days of out of my comfort zone kinds of shots, from camera to computer to screen. Wait until you see what's coming up tomorrow <grin>. Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesWonderful graphic shot and processing...very 60's ish. 13 Aug 2007 1:28pm @Jen: Thank you Jen. And I'll add from out of the '60s, a big "far out" for liking my graphic today. ;-) autem from Helsinki, Finlandit is beautiful, especially the deep lake bottom colors! 13 Aug 2007 2:06pm @autem: Thank you. I am looking forward to seeing more of your images at your site. @Josh: Thanks Josh, I was having fun with my computer that day. I sometimes do this with what I consider my "throw aways or grab shots" just to see what they can turn into. Rebecca from Leicester, United Kingdomcool. that's very creative processing you've done here, VF. certainly reminds me of something out of a science laboratory! :) 13 Aug 2007 3:38pm @Rebecca: Glad you came by today Rebecca. Blessings. eureka from Boston, United Stateshmmm i should try that out sometime. roxio you say? i actually have the program on my computer, but i've always just stuck with photoshop. 13 Aug 2007 4:19pm @eureka: Actually, I think it was Roxio; it could have been an early version of Corel, but I'm pretty positive it was Roxio. And I probably also messed with saturations on it, too. I didn't write down the step by step, so this is memory work. Thanks for coming by. @FrannyC: Thanks for the nice word on this. I liked your photo today, at your place. @RoBeRt: Peace, baby! Rebel Streetshooter from Big Apple, United StatesHmmmm. Like it Viewfinder. Fourrrrrrrrrrrr. :-) 13 Aug 2007 6:00pm @Rebel Streetshooter: Four? Ummm, Rebel... I think there are more than fore golf tees up here... lol. Michael from Wuppertal, GermanyThis is so interesting that I would like to buy a microscope! Great shot! 13 Aug 2007 7:23pm @Michael: A high compliment, or a great plug for microscope sales. Danke, Michael. @JJCN: Thank you very much. @Bob Israel: Glad to hear this. Thanks for stopping by and for the high praise. bronzebilly u.k. from cardiff, United Kingdomaaah VF--the creative monster appears--and you also use Roxio hey??--cool result on this image--nice one 13 Aug 2007 10:10pm @bronzebilly u.k.: Another brother in Roxio. Cool. Billy, I knew we had great things in common. But I gotta confess, I am trying to learn Adobe Photoshop 7.1 Plus, I got this new (for me) version of Corel Paint Shop Pro XI that I am trying to work in also. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomWow! I like this, it would look great hanging on a wall, it's really colouful and vibrant, you did a great job with this experiment! VF. 14 Aug 2007 12:12am @MaryB: Your kind words here make me smile. Thank you MaryB. Your photo today is an outstanding one. HorseRotorVator from Newton, United StatesLooks like those tees are swimming to find the egg. :) Cool. 14 Aug 2007 12:35am @HorseRotorVator: LOL. What you said here was my original thought when I looked at these swimming tees; then I decided that might be a sick rorschach inkblot test kind of thing. So I opted to compare it to protozoan life instead. Heh. @Rags: thank you Rags. |
